Super simple weekly beauty guide

Us GlowGetters are quite busy, so a simple beauty guide is essential for our sanity. Otherwise, we would get overwhelmed with another to-do list, and end up procrastinating by watching “How To Get Away With Murder” in our fuzzy socks and sweatpants. 

So here’s your Super Simple Weekly MUSTS:

Disinfect Your Cell Phone 

Did you know your cell phone may be dirtier than a public toilet? Ugh! So grab those Lysol wipes and get to scrubbing.

Treat Your Skin to a DIY Facial

Your pores need some TLC. Although you are washing your face daily (I hope!), an all natural facial can help you keep that gorgeous glow. Start with a freshly washed face using a gentle exfoliation. Next, carefully steam your pores, then apply your favorite mask. Don’t forget to seal the deal with a quality moisturizer.

Quick Facial Recipe:
1 Banana or 1/2 cup of plain yogurt
1 Tsp of Lemon Juice
1 Egg Yolk
Whisk it all together and Apply to your gorgeous face
Leave on for 15-20 minutes

Freshen Up That Mani

Our pedicures often last through the end of time, but we’ve all experienced a ruined manicure. To keep your nail polish hanging on a little bit longer, reapply a thin layer of top coat. You can even do this every two to three days if you’re convinced nail polish hates you. (PS – It doesn’t.)

Clean Your Makeup Brushes and Hair Tools

This is the one I neglect the most. I mean come on, there’s just so many. Nevertheless, us GlowGetters need to stay on track.

Makeup Brushes:
1 cup of water
1 Tbsp of dish soap
2 Tbsp of vinegar
Mix Ingredients and swirl each brush in the mixture until it’s visibly cleaner
Rinse with lukewarm water and lay to dry

Hair Tools:
Rinse comb and/or brush
Apply shampoo directly to hair tool
Scrub with nail brush or toothbrush
Rinse with lukewarm water and lay to dry
*Boar bristle brushes should soak in hot water mixed with shampoo for 20-30 minutes. Rinse then lay to dry.

Swim In Coconut Oil

The truth is, most problems can be solved by coconut oil. Nails: Apply to your cuticles. Hair: Rub lightly into your roots and ends. Skin: Combine 1/3 cup with a 1/2 cup of Epsom Salts for a relaxing bath. I have even started using it as a lotion, and I have no regrets. Feet: Avoid dry heels by adding a bit of coconut oil! Now if only we could use it to fight procrastination.

Not into coconut oil? Try these substitutes: rose, olive, or avocado oil.

Indulge! You deserve it girl!

Take at least a couple hours a week to do whatever you want. We get so busy trying to achieve our goals that we forget to step back and enjoy life now and then. So whether you want an extra piece of chocolate, a Netflix marathon, or those stilettos you’ve been eyeing, go ahead and spoil yourself.

Doing just one of these a day will keep your beauty regimen on lock. Happy Glowing!
